"There's always next lifetime."

It's what dad would say when we couldn't do something we really wanted to do. It was a gentle invitation to let go and surrender to what is and not force something to happen that wasn't meant to happen.

I remember him saying it when we were out on hikes in Utah and didn't get to go down the slot canyon we wanted to... or on road trips when we really wanted to get some beer from a particular brewery but needed to keep driving.
