Our Story

My dad is Willi Lehner. For more than forty years he has made cheese in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin.

If you've ever been to the Dane County Farmer's Market, you've probably seen him at his cheese stand, with the beautiful Bleu Mont Dairy quilt behind him.

He has pancreatic cancer now. We don’t know how much time he has left.

For years his label listed the ingredients as unpasteurized whole milk, culture, enzymes, salt, and Love — until the FDA made him take the “and Love” off... but he never took it out of the cheese.

This little shop is a way to keep him close to our hearts. For the people who love him, and the people who loved what he made this is a way to carry a piece of him with you.

I made it for one reason: I love him and I'll miss him.
